monotony... monotone... ecstatic...

the 1st describes my school life... the 2nd describes my chem teacher. and the 3rd describes the weekends.

life. monotonous. school life that is. every day, doing the same thing.

morning i wake up at 5.55am. i do homework in school early in the morning. i am wrecked with pain, or rather, boredom, as i sit through lessons. one by one, they pass. sometimes like a flash. while most of the time, 40 minutes seems like a lifetime. im dismissed around 4pm. i go for cca, which, thank God, passes rather quickly. i reach home at about 7pm. have dinner, do work, blog, sleep.

that is one day. one weekday of my life. as i said. monotonous.

how i wish for the weekends. how i pray for the weekends to come. but weekends are shortlived. they pass quicker than i want them to. than i need them to. fun passes quick. but when you are bored, every minute, every second, seems like an hour, a month, a year, a decade, a century.

even the weekends are not totally mine. a great fraction belongs to the school. the neverending pile of homework floods my desk. thesis papers, project work, math, science, chinese, english, humanities. each have a part to play in making my weekends "funless", and many-a-times, tiring.

in fact. Sunday seems to be the only day i can truly enjoy. to enjoy being in His house, to enjoy fellowship with my friends, to sing His praise, and sometimes, to lead others in singing His praise. to laugh, to talk, to hangout, and even just to enjoy each other's prescence. more importantly, to enjoy His prescence in our life, to appreciate the life He has given to us despite of the work thrown at us, to appreciate everything He has made, so perfect, wonderful.

oh. how i long for Sunday, how i long for the weekends. the neverending supply of homework, and school, has probably confounded our brains during the course of a week. all i long for, is rest. rest from school, rest from work. rest. rest in You.
